The J&M story begins all the way back in 1942, with the opening of a small family butchery in the heart of Sea Point. Over the years, it became synonymous with exceptionally high-quality meat, delicious biltong and good old-fashioned family values. We may have outgrown the little butchery and expanded a great deal over the past few decades but some things have remained exactly the same. We still use only the highest quality meat, we still conduct our business with the very same family values and our now-famous biltong is still made using the secret spice recipe developed by Mr Joubert and Mr Monty all those years ago.
